Distressed Property Investments — a full-stack digital rebuild.

A 20-year Bay Area field-services operator with real crews, real coverage, and almost no digital presence. We shipped the entire stack — website, AI intake, branded email, business email on their domain, and a complete print kit — as one cohesive system.

Client: Distressed Property Investments · Region: San Francisco Bay Area · Industry: Property preservation & loss mitigation

The problem

DPI is a two-decade Bay Area property-preservation operator handling winterizations, lock changes, trash-outs, board-ups, debris removal, and full property maintenance across nine counties. The operation was real — trucks, crews, a phone that rings — but their digital layer was almost non-existent. Their online presence was a placeholder, their business email was a personal Gmail, they had no way for a new asset manager or bank REO desk to qualify them without a phone call, and their crews were carrying photocopied business cards into the field. When a lead did make it to a form, it hit an inbox nobody checked. Every one of those was a leaking bucket, and none of them stood alone.

What we built

We treated it as a system rebuild, not a website project. The engagement covered the full customer-facing layer — brand, site, intake, email, and print — plus the operational plumbing behind it so leads couldn't fall through anymore.

The website

A full custom multi-page site at dpibayarea.com designed around how their real customers browse — asset managers on a laptop, brokers on a phone between showings, homeowners in distress on a Sunday night. Fast, mobile-first, semantic HTML. An interactive nine-county coverage map so a new caller can see at a glance whether their property is inside DPI's service area without having to ask. Dedicated service pages for each county so the site actually has something to rank on for local searches. Before/after property sliders showing real jobs. Local SEO with schema markup, unique meta per page, and a real sitemap.

The nine-county service area DPI covers, mapped on the site so callers self-qualify before they pick up the phone.

AI lead-qualifying intake

An AI assistant embedded on the site that answers in DPI's voice, using their services, their coverage area, and their qualifying criteria. It qualifies the caller before the human touch — asks the right questions, accepts photo uploads of the property condition, captures the address and the urgency, and hands everything to the operator as a summary they can read in twenty seconds. A smart intake form sits alongside it for the visitors who prefer typing.

Branded email and lead flow

Every submitted lead triggers two emails, both delivered inside seconds. The first goes to the lead: a branded welcome from DPI confirming what they submitted and setting expectations for reply time. The second goes to DPI: a formatted lead-summary with the address, urgency, service requested, uploaded photos, and any AI notes — scannable in twenty seconds so the operator can call back immediately. Business email now runs on @dpibayarea.com, not a Gmail address, so every reply the operator sends reinforces the brand instead of undermining it.

The print brand kit

Because half of DPI's work happens in a driveway, the digital layer had to have a physical twin. We shipped the complete print brand kit — logo suite in every format, business cards front and back, a door hanger built for crews knocking a neighborhood, and a one-page flyer covering services, coverage, and credentials. Every piece routes back to the site through a scannable QR code. One design language across the site, the email, and the print system — nothing looks bolted on.

The result

For the first time in twenty years of operation, DPI has a digital presence that matches the size of the actual business. New leads qualify themselves before the operator's phone rings. Crews carry a print system into the field that looks like the operator they represent. Email replies come from the company domain, not a personal address. The full system shipped in weeks, not quarters — and it all speaks one language.
