Contractor buyers are the most patient, most deliberate homeowners on the internet. They visit your site three times before they call. They open the projects tab and study the trim work. They look for your CSLB number. They check whether your address is a real office or a UPS box. They read the FAQ because the last contractor ghosted them mid-framing and they can't afford to make that mistake again. If any of that fails, they don't call — they just quietly move on to the next tab.

License-forward, permit-fluent design

The CSLB license number sits in the header, the footer, and every service landing. The About page walks through classification (B, C-33, C-10, whatever you actually hold), bond and insurance in plain language, and the counties you're licensed to work in. That signal alone knocks out the two "handyman" competitors the homeowner was also considering.

Service landings that match the money jobs

Kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, whole-home renovations, ADU / JADU builds (the biggest structural demand in San Diego right now, with its own Coastal Commission and municipal permit language buyers are searching), room additions, garage conversions, and structural repairs. Each one is a distinct landing with its own project gallery, its own rough budget range, its own timeline expectation, and its own FAQ. A homeowner searching "ADU builder San Diego" hits a page written for that exact search, not a generic "our services" list.

Project pages that read like a case study

Every finished project gets its own URL with the neighborhood, the scope, the rough budget bracket, materials and finishes list, and a full before / during / after gallery — including the framing and rough-in shots most contractors skip. Those in-progress photos are what convince a homeowner you actually built the thing instead of buying the finished shots off a supplier.

Intake that filters, not just captures

The Phantom Bot asks scope, rough budget range, and timeline before it hands the lead off. Under-budget leads get an honest "here's what fits that budget" response instead of a wasted site visit. Real leads land in the internal alert with everything pre-formatted so your PM can decide whether it's an estimator drive or a phone consult first.

Reference build

The DPI case study shows the field-services architecture at scale — dispatch, address-based work, crew routing, before / after documentation. Same plumbing under the hood.
